At that time, high school seniors rode this type of bus since there was no senior class in the Lake Worth school system until 1922 when the new High School was built on Lake Avenue west of town. The earlier buses were drawn by mules. In 1923 the first high school graduating class in the new school consisted of 7 girls.

With average annual salaries of $1,033, you would have to save for a long time. The new car brand of the year was the Hupmobile. Gas was 7 cents per gallon. It took 5 days to travel from Minnesota to Florida.
